Ruhaan placed his hand gently over hers — not to claim, but to confess.

“You think I planned this?”
His voice was quiet. Almost reverent.

“Kamini... I walked into this office wanting to observe, to understand. Yes, I hid my name. My stake. My story. But I never hid my heart.”

He stepped closer, their palms still joined.
“Last night… wasn’t strategy. It wasn’t seduction. It was surrender. Mine.”
His gaze held hers with the weight of all the unsaid emotions.

“I’ve been in boardrooms where bil
lions moved with one signature… but I’ve never felt more vulnerable than I did when your breath touched my throat in the dark.”
He took a breath, anchoring himself.

“So no more games, Kamini.”
He leaned in, voice softer now.
“Let’s set the ground rules…”

1. You don’t lie to me, even with your silence.
2. I won’t use my power unless you invite it.
3. We keep this fire away from the office — unless you ask me not to.
4. We don’t own each other. But we belong — moment by moment, truth by truth.
5. The day this stops feeling like truth, we stop.

He exhaled.
“Those are my terms. What are yours… Kamini Ma’am?”
